THIS SUNDAY WAS AMAZING!!!!
Howdy, everyone! Pastor Z here!
Our church service at Resoft County Park today was incredible—seriously!
We not only touched heaven but had fun outside, and even though it wasn't a sunshiny day, the weather was on our side.
Thank you, Jesus!
The food was legit! This was THE BEST time. You can feel the LOVE and UNITY in the air!
Thanks to everyone who brought food and drinks, and a big shoutout to those who helped set up and showed up early.
I love what Jesus is doing!
Huge thank you to our children’s church volunteers for everything that you did today with leading our kids ministry and teaching our kids about Jesus on their level!
We love Kid’s Ministry! You are making a HUGE difference!
Today's worship was fantastic, and a special thanks to Dream City Worship for leading us. Your hard work is paying off, and we're blessed with talented and gifted individuals!
We broke a NEW ATTENDANCE record today! WOAH! God creates GROWTH.
The message was all about Unity.
Many have heard the need for unity in our churches, but not many talk about how to keep it.
Unity happens when you and I...
U - Unwavering Focus on Jesus.
- When my focus is on Jesus, my priorities align with His.
- Focusing on Jesus means consistently reading God's word, engaging in worship, and pursuing a relationship with Him.
- My focus on Jesus isn't detoured by my circumstances.
N - Never forget the way we are identified.
- Jesus said the world would know we belong to Him through our love for one another.
- We are identified more by how we love people we don't agree with or understand.
- Love is not just who we say we are; it's how we act towards those we might not identify with.
- We want to be known for what we agree on, not just what we are against.
I - Intentional about keeping short accounts.
- Ephesians 4:26 instructs us in two ways about being offended.
- If you're angry, it's not a sin, but do not sin.
- Keep short accounts; unity is preserved when we address issues directly rather than building alliances and pretending unity was attempted.
- Matthew 18 teaches us how to handle disagreements; ask,
'Do I want to win an argument at the cost of destroying what Jesus is building, or am I working to make a difference?'
T - Thankful for our differences.
- I'm thankful to be part of a church where differences are celebrated.
- We don't all have to agree to find our way to Jesus; we don't all have to believe to belong.
- The Great Commission was about reaching those who looked nothing like us, not building a clubhouse where everyone is the same.
- Jesus died for all of us, not just those who don't have a past or sin differently.
Y - Yield right now so we can move forward.
- If you don't kill your past, it will stop you from living.
- Unity thrives where forgiveness prioritizes over the spirit of offense.
- Nothing kills peace and unity faster than a grudge.
-Churches will literally split over people refusing to LET IT GO(offense) and move forward…and then will blame Jesus for the Split and call it God’s will.
-Just like my 88 GMC S15 kept losing the rear view mirror, some need to lose their rear view and stop looking back, and move forward.
At Dream City Church, we choose not to fight with each other but for each other to promote love and the spirit of Christ!
I'm craving a HUGE Chick Fil A Peppermint Milkshake! Are they out yet?! Someone please let me know in the comments!!!!
Next week at Donna's Legacy Center is going to be amazing! Can't wait to see what Jesus does next!
I often say this, but I truly love my church family!
Thank you all for loving my family and me, and for believing in us when we didn't believe in ourselves.
I'm excited about this movement!
God was never finished, and neither were you and I.
Let's keep inviting people and spreading the word about what Jesus is doing at Dream City Church!
Love you all! —PZ
