As we approach the final Sunday of 2023, I want to pause to say THANK YOU to all of you who are on this journey with us! 

You are the reason Dream City Church is a reality, and without your support and encouragement, I think the end of 2023 would have been a season of lost hope... But Jesus had different plans for all of us! 

We started a Church together, folks! Literally, overnight. That is a BIG deal. It’s been a whirlwind, but what we have seen so far is encouraging, to say the least!

I love our Church! It’s all about Jesus! 

So tomorrow... WE ARE GOING TO CELEBRATE! 

All day my mind has been on the parable of the sower from Matthew 13... but I want to focus on an aspect of that parable that’s often overlooked.

Normally, when you talk about the parable of the sower, it’s all about the seeds and where they land…

And that IS important!!!

Don’t get me wrong. Making sure your seeds are sown into good soil is kind of the whole deal with this parable.

But I think there’s an underlying lesson here.

In Matthew chapter 13, verse six, it says …

“but when the sun came up, the plants were scorched and withered because they had no roots…”

And then again, in verse eight, it says “still other seed fell in good soil, where it produced a good crop 100, 60 or 30 times what was sown…”

Both of these verses speak to an underlying current within the scripture that we find all throughout the Bible, especially in dealing with the law of sowing and reaping.

This is the law of seasons. 

Because WHEN you sow is just as important as WHAT you sow.

With that in mind, I want to talk just for a little bit about how we end one season will determine how we start the next.

The seeds we plant in this season will be the harvest we reap in the next season.

This weekend is our time to celebrate all that God has done!

Let's end this season together, sowing seeds of celebration and gratitude, and welcome the new year with open hearts for all that God has done...

THE TIME FOR CELEBRATION IS NOW! 

And according to Ephesians 3:20, THAT is what He's going to do. 

It's going to be bigger than any of us can imagine!
