Howdy Church Family, Pastor Z here with a quick thought about this Sunday at Dream City Church!

In the face of adversity, we have witnessed the unwavering faith and resilience of our Church community.

The recent storm may have caused damage and left many without electricity and basic necessities, but it has also revealed the strength and unity that bind us together.

We have supported one another, lending a helping hand and providing solace during this challenging time.

One moment I witnessed that I can't stop thinking about is WHEN THE STORM PASSED. There was a moment when the sun broke through the dark storm clouds and EVERYTHING SEEMED NEW, like it was born again.

Despite the damage to property and the worry I was feeling, I saw TWO THINGS.

#1 - EVERYTHING DID LOOK BRIGHTER BECAUSE THE SUN SHOWED UP. Its warm and radiant rays ILLUMINATED THE SURROUNDINGS, bringing a sense of hope and renewal. It was a reminder that even in the midst of darkness, THERE IS ALWAYS THE POSSIBILITY OF LIGHT BREAKING THROUGH.

#2 - THE SUN NEVER ACTUALLY WENT ANYWHERE. IT WAS ALWAYS THERE, behind the storm clouds, but we couldn't see it because of the storm.

This made me reflect on how it is often the same with JESUS, THE SON. HIS PRESENCE IS CONSTANTLY WITH US, even during the storms of life, but sometimes we may not be able to see or feel it. However, WHEN JESUS SHOWS UP, HIS PRESENCE BRINGS BREAKTHROUGH AND RESTORATION.

That even though STORMS are something everyone of us are going to face...

Eventually EVERY STORM we have experienced will pass!

The Sun will shine again and bring hope and renewal...

I can't help but think that This SUNDAY is going to be that for so many!

I can FEEL that we are on the cusp of a breakthrough.

Our journey through the storm has prepared us for what lies ahead.

Every Storm we face, is an opportunity for the transformative power of Jesus stepping into our situations and bringing healing and restoration.

One thing I want to mention is how SO MANY have told me that the aftermath of this storm felt so much like COVID in 2020...

Their was a Spirit of Isolation and FEAR...This I believe is an intentional attack from the enemy!

If the devil can use this storm to put the church back on it's heels, and back off from our mission to reach lost people with the message of Hope...I believe we will see the SAME results so many Churches had in 2020...People will step back from the church...

That's the enemies goal by the way! To ISOLATE you(Stepping back from community/Church) and to get your eyes off of Jesus, and onto the storm!

Don't fall for this! Beryl is no match for JESUS!

What God can do AFTER a storm is GREATER than the damage of the storm! This is the time for US as the Church to STEP UP! and PUSH and SHOW UP for Jesus like never before!

I am reminded of the words from Jeremiah 29:11, which states, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

That is our current circumstances, no matter how bad it is right now...

God STILL has a purpose for us, individually and as a Church family despite the Storm we faced. AND None of this too Jesus by surprise!

Therefore, this Sunday at Dream City, I want to invite you to join us for the breakthrough that awaits us.

Maybe you the one who has been without electricity, or your home has major damage...

Maybe your someone who felt isolated, and hopeless in this season...
and you don't know what to do...

Listen to me...THIS SUNDAY IS YOUR SUNDAY!

It is time to come together, to lift our voices in praise and thanksgiving for the faithfulness of our God.

Look I understand that many among you are still recovering from the aftermath of the storm. (So is our family)Here is what I want to remind you...You do not have to go through this alone!

By the way....Right now, is a PRIME opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to join you this Sunday! Seriously, It's a fact that many in our lives are looking for answers after storms like this, and they will respond favorably to your invitation!

This Sunday is going to be about bringing our community together, and giving them HOPE!

I want to encourage you to send an invitation to others who may need encouragement and hope in their lives.

There are countless individuals who have been deeply affected by the challenges of the past week.

Let us be the beacon of light in their lives, inviting them to experience the transformative power of Jesus and the love of our Church community.

Together, let us embrace the breakthrough that follows this storm.

This Sunday is an opportunity for us to come together, to worship, to pray, and to experience the abundant blessings that await us.

We believe that God has something extraordinary in store for us, and we don't want you to miss out.

We can't WAIT for Sunday! Join us as we embrace the breakthrough, find healing, and rejoice in the presence of our loving Savior. We look forward to seeing you there!
