SHAKE IT OFF...

Praise God for His faithfulness!

The only thing that lead us here is because we put the past behind us and trusted God anyway.

The day I was canceled, the Spirit of the Lord reminded me to stop and shake the dust from my feet—eventually this led to moving on and starting a new work.

The phrase "Shake the dust from your feet" comes from the teachings of Jesus, found in the Gospels of Matthew (10:14) and Mark (6:11).

And that’s what we have done.

Some cannot understand the transitions that take place when we shake the dust from our feet; (especially those who are still stuck in that place).

There is an ambiguity about what is read in the scripture and what is lived in actually living out scripture.

What does Jesus mean when he tells us to shake the dust from our feet?

Here are my thoughts:

#1 Rejection—Jesus gave us way of expressing that if a town or person rejected their message, they should not carry the weight of that rejection with them.

Shaking off the dust represented leaving behind the negativity and moving on.

#2 Judgment—The act also implied a warning or a form of judgment. By shaking off the dust, the disciples were signaling that the rejecting community had missed an opportunity for grace and truth and the Work of God.

#3  Separation—It indicated a clear separation from those who refused to accept the message of Jesus and the Spirit of His ministry.

The disciples were to focus on those who were receptive rather than dwell on those who were not.

Shaking the dust is recognizing the importance of moving forward without the burden of what was…

That can be hard.

Some will not understand.

As for my experience this has to do with ministry.

For some it may be a relationship, or job, maybe picking up an old habit or it could be just letting go of “the good old days”…or putting down that fear and anxiety for good...whatever the case…don’t go back!

You may be accused by a religious person of being unforgiving, or even judged by them…you may be invited back….(I was)

But once you have moved on, it’s important to remember you can’t go back the way you came.

It happened, you tried your best, and were rejected.

But it’s important to remember they did not just reject you—They rejected the message that’s a gospel and the spirit of anointing on you.

It’s not always easy to move forward especially if your heart was broken.

Yet, in this journey, we find the strength to release what no longer serves us and trust in God's plan.

As for us?

God has been faithful, and God’s people have been faithful.

We shook the dust off in one place to pick it up in another, and God has blessed every place the heel of our shoes has touched.

I'm so excited about this NEXT step!

Only God can make it happen, and HE is a God of the impossible !

This journey is a powerful reminder that, while transitions may be challenging, they can lead to new beginnings and abundant blessings when we trust in Him.

THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
