This weekend we are continuing our series on Spiritual Warfare, and we are talking about this one thing that ALL of us have had to deal with at one point or another... 

Shame... So many people struggle with getting past their past, and one MAJOR weapon the enemy loves to use against us is this thing called SHAME.

I am asking all of us to do whatever it takes to get in the room this Sunday and to bring someone with you!

I PROMISE YOU - There are going to be so many who have struggled with shame that will be set free! 

If you know someone who has struggled in this area, I challenge you to PRAY for them and then ACTUALLY invite them and bring them with you to Church this weekend!

It's going to be SUCH a powerful service.

As we head into this weekend, I want to give you a quick overview of what shame looks like and how it is used by the enemy in our lives!

Shame is the very thing that will cause you to walk away from God... So many people have stepped away from the Church because of this one thing called shame.

Not many of us have ever been taught about shame when it comes to spiritual warfare.

As a matter of fact, I don't think I have ever heard a sermon dealing with the element of Shame...

I think the reason we don't hear much talk about the topic of Shame is because The Church is often guilty of using SHAME to punish the very people Jesus has called us to reach...

Religious people will shame someone who... Slipped back into addiction... Instead of helping them get back up.

Religious people will shame someone who... has been divorced... instead of helping them see that God is not done with them.

Religious people will shame someone who... has been diagnosed with a certain illness... Instead of walking with them and praying for their healing!(I have met Religious people who actually question the authenticity of your walk with Jesus if you get sick...And be happy about it?!)

Religious people will shame someone who is facing hard times financially... instead of being generous and giving to their need.

Which is just SAD!

This weekend we are going to attack SHAME with the Word of God and get rid of shame for good!

Another thing I feel led to mention about shame when it comes to Spiritual Warfare is how the enemy will use shame in TWO WAYS...

To control us and to deceive us... (We are going to talk about how this happens in the life of a believer if we are not on guard against this tactic!)

We are going to talk about how Shame is designed to keep us stuck in our past and prevent us from living the full, victorious life that God has planned for us.

But here's the thing - shame is not from God.

In Isaiah 54:4, God promises us, "Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. Don't be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you. You will no longer remember the shame of your youth and the sorrows of widowhood."

This is a powerful promise, and one that we need to claim for ourselves and over our Church! In fact, will you join me in praying this verse over and over again as we prepare for this Sunday?

Let's set the room for God to show up in a big way for people caught by shame.

SO many people are going to be SET FREE!
