I wanted to share an important message about this Sunday at Dream City Church—and why it's crucial for EVERYONE who can to SHOW UP and be part of the Huddle!

As many of you know, our family has just welcomed little Shepard into the world! 🎉

But along with this joy, Cara has faced some serious complications and had to undergo emergency surgery. She’s been wiped out, and I’m here to support her through recovery.

This morning, I came across THIS photo(See Title Photo)... and it really struck me.

It’s from one of our early services at Dream City Church, showing a powerful moment of people huddled together, praying and encouraging each other.

This image embodies who we are as a church—united in purpose, passionate in worship, and supportive of one another.

In sports, a huddle is a game-changing moment.

It’s where the team comes together, pauses, refocuses, and realigns with the game plan. It’s not just a time-out; it’s a chance to remind each player of their role and the goal ahead.

This Sunday, (our huddle) is just as crucial.

Even though Cara and I won’t be there physically, the essence of the huddle remains the same.

It's a chance for ALL of us to come together, to pause from our busy lives, and to focus on Jesus.

This is our moment to demonstrate that Dream City Church is more than just our leadership—it’s about every one of us working together.

So here’s the call to action: I need EVERYONE who can, to rally this Sunday.

Be part of the huddle!

Show up and make sure everything runs smoothly.

We need you to help set up, serve, worship, give, and pray.

This is a chance for us to prove that the church is not just a place but a community—vibrant and active, even when our leaders are temporarily absent.

As it says in 1 Corinthians 12:12, “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.”

And most of you remember, Pastor John Martin, Cara's Dad! He will be will be leading the service, and preaching the WORD, but we need YOU—our church family—to bring your energy, your passion, and your commitment.

I believe more than ever...This Sunday, God has a plan to touch lives, and it’s vital that we set the stage for that encounter.

Someone is going to meet Jesus in the huddle, and your involvement is key in creating that environment.

Let’s come together and show that Dream City Church is a powerhouse of faith and community.

Get in the huddle, run your routes, and let’s make this Sunday a testament to what we can achieve together.

This will be mine and Cara's FIRST Sunday we will have missed at Dream City...EVER.

(so we are a tad anxious about missing, because we want it to run like normal)

Please anyone who can be there for Set-up at 8am and tear-down after service, HUDDLE UP! (This is what I am concerned  about the most) I know this is not a very glamorous spot to serve, it's is one of the most physically challenging...But if all of use pitch in, it becomes SO much easier than making just a few of us carry that load! If you lead or serve in an area make sure you do it with excellence!

Remember who you are doing this for! --All we do is for JESUS! Bring someone with you to Church this Sunday!

Please keep praying for Cara! This weekend my focus is going to be on being the BEST Dad and Husband I can be...AND it is only possible because we Pastor such an amazing Church family!
